On Sunday, May 13, the Blackhawks baseball team honored their mothers for Mothers’ Day with a victory over the Oldham-Ramona-Rutland/Arlington Rebels to earn a chance to play in the super regional tournament next week. Who and where they will play has yet to be determined.
Trevor Schmidt and Trent Kingsbury pitched for the Blackhawks. The first run scored in the game for both sides was earned on bad throws all around the bases for Sawyer Senska. Once he made it home, the Blackhawks came to life offensively and started hitting the ball to eventually get two more runs and win the game 3-1.
