On Tuesday, Sept. 25, the SCW Lady Blackhawks traveled to Highmore to face the Highmore-Harrold Pirates. It took five sets and a tough fight, but the Lady Blackhawks came out on top with set scores of 25-21, 12-25, 22-25, 25-16 and 15-12.
The second round of play on Saturday, Sept. 29, brought the Lady Blackhawks up against common rival, the Wessington Springs Lady Spartans. It was a high intensity match, but SCW pulled out the win after four sets with scores of 21-25, 25-17, 25-20 and 25-21.
The last round of the tournament for the Lady Blackhawks was the championship game against the Hitchcock-Tulare Patriots. This was the only loss for SCW in the tournament, and they earned second place with set scores of 17-25, 25-18, 14-25 and 23-25.
