In 2007, at Belle Point Ranch of Lavaca, Ark., a program began to recognize Angus juniors for simply doing their best. Angus Stars are awarded to 50 elite members of the National Junior Angus Association, chosen and recognized at the National Junior Angus Show. Angus Stars are not earned by an application or competition but by working, learning, improving and trying. Belle Point Ranch receives personal recommendations from advisors, breeders, staff and often from juniors who have been recognized in previous years.
Chosen to receive Angus Stars for 2018 at the National Junior Angus Show in Madison, Wis., were Aaron and Nathan Linke. The Linke boys were at the Show to exhibit their registered Angus cattle and participate in other Junior Angus Show activities.
