The Sanborn Central/Woonsocket FFA held its annual FFA banquet at Woonsocket School last week.
During the banquet, freshmen members were presented with their Greenhand Degrees. From those degree recipients, Collin Schmiedt received the Star Greenhand award. The Star Greenhand award recognizes those members with outstanding FFA participation and a strong plan for their Supervised Agricultural Experience Project.
The sophomore members were presented with their Chapter Degrees. From those recipients, Carter Linke was selected as Chapter Star in Placement, Wesley Linke was selected as Chapter Star Farmer, and Katie Schmit as the Chapter Star in Agribusiness.
Greetings from the SD FFA were presented by 2017-2018 SD FFA State Treasurer Aaron Linke.
President Nathan Linke led the recognition of members for their many successes at Land and Range Judging, Leadership Development Events, and Career Development Events during this school year.
The Chapter presented Sanborn Central School Business Manager Gayle Bechen and SC/W FFA Chapter Advisor Shane Gross with the 2018 Honorary Chapter Degree. The Honorary Degree recognizes those who have rendered outstanding service and assistance to the FFA Chapter.
