On Tuesday, Sept. 17, the SCW Blackhawks volleyball team traveled to Wessington Springs for the first of two wins for the week. The night started with the seventh grade losing in two sets, but the eighth grade tied, winning the first set 25-13 and losing the second set 16-25.
The C-team then started the winning streak for the Lady Blackhawks against the Lady Spartans. They won their game in three sets with scores of 25-16, 20-25 and 15-11. The JV won quite easily in two sets with scores of 25-18 and 25-10.
The varsity girls often have to make it interesting, keeping everyone’s attention with some high intensity play, but they came out on top again, winning three of five sets for the final victory of the night. The varsity set scores were 23-25, 25-19, 23-25, 25-18 and 15-12.
