The regular meeting of the Town of Artesian Council was called to order at 7:30 p.m. by Mayor Kurt Effling at the Artesian Community Center, with Council Members Candi Danek and Travis King present, along with Finance Officer Molly Ebersdorfer and Tom Fridley present. Also present were Andrew and Kaylee Zoss, Richard Danek and Kim Fridley.
All motions are unanimous unless otherwise stated.
Motion by Danek, second by King, to approve the following consent items for January – Council Minutes, Financial Statement, General Fund Balances, and Payment of bills as listed below:

Old Business:
Streets – discussion was held on snow removal and water on sidewalks.
Sewer/Garbage – the board reviewed and discussed delinquent bills.
Unlicensed/Abandoned vehicles were discussed.
Regular town board meetings will be changed to be held the second Tuesday of each month at the Artesian Community Center at 7:30 p.m.
New Business:
Discussion was held on the Planning and Development District III map.
The Board discussed the Sanborn County Annual Meeting with Towns and Townships on February 18, 2020. Council member Danek will attend if possible.
City property was reviewed.
Board members reviewed Equipment Listing. Motion by Danek, second by King, to purchase a 1993 Ford F350 pickup. Motion by Danek, second by King, to purchase two sump pumps to help with the melting snow on sidewalks.
The next regular meeting is scheduled for March 10, 2020, at the Artesian Community Center at 7:30 p.m.
