Sandi Ruml received the Friend of Education award from Sanborn Central Superintendent Justin Siemsen. Ruml works with the Legion Auxiliary and their programs supporting education, Girls State, giving boxes of school supplies for education week and apples for teacher recognition. She also participates in the Snack Pack program through her church. 

“I have so many people that help me, I don’t feel I deserved this really,” Ruml said, “But I was happy and shocked to get it.”
