Carole “Kelly” Louise Podhradsky, 64, of Woonsocket, passed away Tuesday, Feb 15, 2022, at Avera Queen of Peace hospital in Mitchell.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Feb. 19, at the Spirit of Faith Church, Woonsocket. Burial was in St. Wilfrid Cemetery, Woonsocket. Visitation was held at the church on Saturday.
Kelly was born on Sept. 29, 1957, in Huron, to Tony and Lois Podhradsky. She attended Woonsocket School and graduated from Woonsocket High School in 1975.
Kelly worked many years as a caregiver, from a daycare provider to a CNA. Her passions included her family, NASCAR, gardening, bargain shopping, mud runs, four-wheeling, camping, music, Saturday suppers, pheasant season opener, and any activity that involved family. Kelly will be remembered for her kindness, compassion, love, dependability, and her ability to provide anything that was needed.
Kelly is survived by her sons, Tony and Jason Meyer; mother, Lois Podhradsky; brothers, Michael (Rose) and Russell Podhradsky; sister, Susan (Chuck) Engelmann; nieces, Jennifer Podhradsky, Jess (Jason) Bruce, Laura (David) Rice, and Rachel Engelmann; nephew; Mark (Erica) Podhradsky, three grandnieces; sons at heart, Bryan Carda and Isaac Olson and many cousins and friends.
Kelly was preceded in death by her dad, Tony Podhradsky; uncles, Roy, Charlie and Mike Podhradsky; many other aunts and uncles; sister, Pamela Morwitzer; and brother, John.
