The junior high Lady Blackhawks started their season with several games on the road. They started in Howard on Monday, Dec. 13.
Their second game with Howard that evening ended with a score of 23-31, Howard.
On Friday, Dec. 17, the ladies traveled to Wessington Springs and played two games there. This time coming home with two victories to even out their record at 2-2. The first game’s final score was 17-6, SCW.
The second game that night was a closer score but still a Blackhawk victory with a final score of 13-11, Blackhawks.
On Saturday, Dec. 18, the junior high teams made the trek to Mt. Vernon to go up against the MVP Titans. They played three games there. The first game was a junior high game and ended in a win for the Lady Blackhawks. The final score was 27-8.
The second game of the morning was another junior high game, but this time it ended in a loss for SCW with a final score of 13-28, Titans.
The third game of the day in Mt. Vernon was a C-game. The final score of that game ended as 16-26, Titans.
The ladies’ game against Corsica-Stickney scheduled to take place on Dec. 21 was postponed. Their next action was Saturday, Jan. 8 at a tournament at James Valley. They then played Kimball/White Lake in Woonsocket on Monday, Jan. 10, and their next game will be tonight (Thursday) in Mt. Vernon, which will include a C-game.
