Tracy Beckwith, 56, of Huron, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 26, 2022, at Huron Regional Medical Center after a battle with cancer.
Her memorial service will be held at a later date.
Tracy Lynn Larimer was born on July 24, 1965, to parents Thomas and Bonita (Stach) Larimer in Willmar, Minn. Tracy graduated from Huron High School in 1983.
Tracy married James “Jim” Beckwith on Feb. 24, 1996, on the front steps of their home in Huron. Tracy and Jim made their home in Huron, where Tracy worked at several places in town. Tracy worked for the Center for Independence for 11 years. She also worked at Fair City Foods, Kmart, and Sportsmen’s Bar. She worked at Potter’s Shoes for five years, and at the time of her death, she was employed at Runnings, where she just reached five years of employment.
Tracy was an artistic person. She loved to crochet and be creative. She loved to watch movies, listen to music and play with her dogs. Tracy was a generous person. She loved to help people.
Tracy is survived by her husband, Jim of Huron; her mother, Bonnie Tate of Yankton; her brother, Todd (Diane) Larimer of Plattsmouth, Neb.; mother-in-law, Georgia Beckwith of Huron; brothers-in-law, Eric (Sheri) Beckwith of Huron and Mark Beckwith of Savanna, Ga.; special friends, Aunt Lila and Uncle Kenny Stach of Letcher; and several other aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her father, Thomas Larimer; her stepfather, Vern Tate; her father-in-law, Dan Beckwith, brother-in-law, Jeff Beckwith; and her grandparents.
