The First Lutheran Quilters met Tuesday, March 20, and started work on the Lutheran Outdoors quilt.

Jane Marten dyed 50 sheets for the First Lutheran Quilters. Jane was given the sheets by several motels in Mitchell.  She dyed the flat and fitted sheets and pillowcases in batches of beautiful colors. The quilters use the flat sheets for quilt backs, and the fitted sheets are cut into blocks to coordinate with the backs. The pillowcases are sewn together to make backs for the baby quilts.
