JoEllen Kempf, Judy Olson, Jerolyn Dean, Kathy Wormstadt and Judy Wormstadt toured the Mitchell Veteran’s Park at the south end of Mitchell’s Main Street on June 12. The park is a tribute to area Armed Forces members who have defended the United States of America. The names of the military men and women are engraved on a wall surrounding part of the park.  There are beautiful flowers and landscape plants that also decorate the park. It is definitely worth a visit! The park is sponsored by the Mitchell Area Garden Club.

The group also visited two of the “Yards of the Month” in Mitchell.

Later, Judy Olson hosted the gals for dessert at her home.
