On Tuesday, Sept. 17, the SCW Blackhawk Cross Country team participated in the Arlington Cross Country Meet. Hannah Terkildsen was the lone girl running for the Blackhawks at this meet, and she placed sixth overall and third in the B schools division. On the boys’ side of results, Jeffrey Boschee came in 18th overall and sixth in B division, Braxton Gentles finished in 23rd overall and 10th in B division, Noah Terkildsen placed 33rd overall and 16th in B division, Andrew Lindgren came in 35th overall and 18th in B division, and Evan VonEye placed 37th overall and 20th in B division. The entire Blackhawks boys’ varsity team placed seventh.

For junior varsity, Bryce Larson came in 46th overall, which was 17th in the B division schools. Ethan Schmiedt placed 48th overall and 18th in B division, and Sutton Senska finished 61st overall and 24th in B division.

Next up for the cross country team is the 281 Conference meet, which was rescheduled for Wednesday, Sept. 25, in Wessington Springs.
