The regular meeting of the Woonsocket City Council was called to order by Mayor Lindy Peterson at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 6, 2016, with the following members present: Richard Reider, John Ames, Richard Regynski, Jim Steichen and Joel Rassel. Brandon Goergen was absent.
Motion by Ames, seconded by Rassel, to approve the agenda. Motion carried.
Motion by Ames, seconded by Regynski, to approve the May 2, 2016, minutes. Motion carried.
Motion by Steichen, seconded by Ames, to approve the June 6, 2016, minutes. Motion carried.
Motion by Regynski, seconded by Rassel, to approve the Financial Statement. Motion carried.

OLD BUSINESS
Council discussed the cemetery.
Council discussed cars in town.
Council discussed the campground. Effective January 1, 2017, rates will increase to $15.00 per spot, $400 per month for East Campground and $450 per month for North Campground.
Council discussed long-term residence in the campground.
Council discussed the dumpgrounds. Motion by Regynski, seconded by Rassel, to hire Marty Wingert at $10.00 per hour. Motion carried.
Council discussed City Lots and Economic Development.
Richard Jensen submitted a bid for $200.00 for the Dodge pickup that was up for surplus. Bid was accepted.
Council discussed the watertower.
Council discussed the pump house and lift stations.
Council discussed the Fourth of July. Thought the weekend was a success. Thanks to the Water Festival Committee for all their work.
Council discussed the pool. Thanks to Sarah Jensen for all she does.
NEW BUSINESS
Council discussed motorized vehicles around the lake. A sign will be posted that no motorized vehicles will be allowed on the island.
Council discussed a request to close the road in front of Skeeters for an anniversary party. It will only be closed as needed.
Motion by Rassel, seconded by Steichen, to approve $25,000.00 towards the Community Center expansion. Motion carried.

Signs are ready to be installed by the lake.
The county has put the Burn Ban back in effect until further notice.
With no further business to be discussed, motion by Steichen, seconded by Ames, to adjourn the meeting. The meeting was adjourned at 8:40 p.m.
