The annual “Dig Pink Night” was held Friday evening at Sanborn Central School with a number of activities all held with the common goal to honor and raise funds for cancer survivors.
Sanborn Central celebrated “Dig Pink” all week with faculty and staff paying $1 a day to dress casual or $5 to wear sweats.
Friday’s activities kicked off with a “Walk for Support” and spare change drop followed by a tailgate party. The first volleyball games began at 4:30 and each player played for a cancer survivor, each of whom was recognized at the games.
All proceeds were donated to the You’ll Never Walk Alone Foundation.
