The Artesian American Legion Auxiliary Unit 47 met on June 7, at 7 p.m., in the Artesian Community Center. President Klinkner opened the meeting with the Pledge of Allegiance and The Preamble to the Constitution.
Dee Bechen gave the secretary and the treasurer’s report. Both were accepted.
Catherine Bechen gave a talk on her trip to Girls State and answered many questions from the Auxiliary members. She would encourage next year’s juniors to apply.
Carol Hendrix gave her report on the Poppy sales.
Memorial Day was discussed and the program next year will be on Memorial Day at 1:30 p.m.
Lunch was served by Laura Pearson.
Next meeting will be Sept. 19, at 7 p.m.
