The Storla Lutheran Sunday School class baked dog biscuits on Sunday, Sept. 23 to be used in the blessing of the animals service and the rest to be donated to animal shelters.
On Sunday, Sept. 30 the Storla and Trinity Sunday School held a “Blessing of the Animals” service following the Sunday morning worship at Trinity Lutheran Church, Letcher.
The Sunday School lesson was incorporated into the blessing service.
A special offering for the Humane Society was taken at the Blessing of the Animals service.
For those who love irony, Storla and Trinity plan to bless hunters during the Oct. 14 worship service.
