CRP Haying/Grazing 2012: the last day to cut CRP for hay is Aug. 31. Deadline to report acres hayed and hay tonnage is Sept. 11. If you hayed less than was agreed upon you must certify to this and show the change on your haying map to correct the payment reduction. Deadline to remove CRP hay is Oct. 1. Deadline to complete grazing can be found on your grazing plan, but is no later than Oct. 1. Deadline to report CRP grazing is five days after livestock removal and no later than Oct. 5. FSA needs to know actual acres hayed/grazed in order to finalize payment data. Late reports could hold up annual payments.
CRP Mid-Contract Management: Management activities are required in most grassland CRP contracts at predetermined times. Under the right circumstances Emergency or Managed haying or grazing activities will be substituted for required mid-contract management due in 2012 and beyond. FSA will be reviewing each contract to see how this will affect your management obligations.
Office Closed on Sept 3 to observe Labor Day.
