The Town of Artesian Council met on January 2, 2013 in regular session at the Artesian Community Center. Council Member Effling called the meeting to order with Council Members Richard, Danek, Finance Officer Ebersdorfer and Tom Fridley present.
The minutes of the December 5, 2012 meeting were read. Motion to approve by Danek, seconded by Richard. Motion carried.  Motion by Danek, seconded by Richard, to approve the Financial Statement and approval of vouchers as presented by Ebersdorfer. Motion carried.

New Business: Motion by Richard to accept CorTrust Bank, Artesian, SD to be the regular depository; regular meeting to be the first Wednesday of each month in the Artesian Community Center at 7:30 p.m.; Sanborn Weekly Journal will be the official publication; regular meeting attendance $40/meeting; Finance Officer salary $500 per month; head maintenance $14 per hour; part-time maintenance $8 per hour; head lifeguard $9 per hour; lifeguard $8 per hour; mileage .485 cents per mile.Price was set as $50 per hour for wages/tractor rent for snow removal. Seconded by Danek. Motion carried.
Motion by Richard, seconded by Danek, for temporary traveling liquor license for Texas Hold’em granted to Longbranch Bar. Motion carried.
The next meeting will be February 6, 2013 at 7:30 p.m. in the Artesian Community Center.
