The Woonsocket Fire Department, along with some helpful neighbors responded to a hay bale fire at the Mike Brosnan farm northeast of Woonsocket Wednesday. Square bales piled in a hay shed that were presumably not finished curing, mixed with temps in the 80s and caused the pile to begin smoking. Firemen were able to extinguish the fire before it caused much damage.
