The Blackhawks enjoyed another successful night with a clean sweep of Highmore-Harrold in the season’s final home match-ups Friday night in Woonsocket.
The boys took out Highmore-Harrold, 68-38, followed by a 55-42 win by the girls.
Nick Miller had another great night with 19 points and eight rebounds. Todd Stekl added up 12 points and Drew Hinker grabbed seven rebounds.
SC/W racked up 35 rebounds. The Hawks went 22-of-59 for 37 percent from the field and 21-of-30 for 70 percent from the line.
The Pirates were led by Hadley Hamlin with 19 points.
The JV Blackhawk boys also won their game.
In girls’ action, Shelby Selland was again the standout with 22 points and 11 boards for a double-double. Rachelle Moore added nine points.
The Lady Hawks went 21-of-52 for 40 percent from the field and 12-of-25 for 48 percent from the foul line.
H-H was led by McKenzee Zilverberg with 18 points and Sydney Cowan with 12. Cowan also had seven rebounds. The Pirates went 14-of-51 for 28 percent from the field and 7-of-12 from the line.
The Lady Hawks also won the JV game.
The Blackhawk boys now have a break until a Valentine’s Day doubleheader at Mitchell Christian. Monday’s girls’ game versus JVC was rescheduled to Tuesday due to the weather.
The Lady Hawks now stand at 17-1, while the boys carry a very respectable 12-6 record.
