Riley Zoss assists Ashlee Hanson in measuring ingredients for a special foods activity.

The Town ‘N Kountry Kids 4-H club met Feb. 23 at the Letcher Community Center.  Riley Zoss called the meeting to order with 14 members present. The secretary’s report was read by Meghan Chada and approved.  Committee reports consisted of updating the “Grandparents List.”
Old Business: Calendar Project Day comments and fruit sales. The group is still looking for a snow fun day, weather permitting.
New Business: Fruit sales were discussed. Members need to pick up fruit on March 23 for delivery. Other dates to remember are: March 13 – consumer decision making contest number one at 2 p.m.; March 23 – Leader/parent Conference in Aberdeen; April 9 – consumer decision making contest number two.
A special foods demonstration was given with members assisting. Riley Zoss demonstrated on how to do a place setting at the table. All members did their table setting.
Waffles were served for lunch for the club members. Community members who were present for Bountiful Baskets also enjoyed waffles, juice and coffee.
Demonstrations were given by: April Farmer, “How to Make Lucky Origami”; Madi Moody, “How Much Sugar is in a Can of Coke?”
The next meeting will be Saturday, March 16 in the Letcher Community Center at 1 p.m. Demonstrations will be given by Ashlee Hanson, Cole Moody, Michael Hoffman, Delaney Zoss and Renee Farmer.
At 2 p.m. there will be a jewelry making project activity provided by Karen and Greta Sonne.
Lunch will be served by April and Renee Farmer and Meghan Farmer.
