The Town ‘N Kountry Kids 4-H Club Blue Group met March 16 in the Letcher Community Center. Role topic of reciting a nursery rhyme was answered by 14 members and five guests.
The secretary’s and treasurer’s reports were given. Jenna Skinner reported that members would be writing “Happy Easter” letters to adopted grandparents following the meeting.
Old Business: Fruit sales need to be delivered on March 23. Information on the time will be given later. The leader/parent conference will also be held in Aberdeen on March 23. A committee of Jenna Skinner, Riley Zoss and Haley Degen will plan an electric safety event at Central Electric.
New Business: Names for possible Special Foods contestants were listed. Project enrollments need to be updated by May 31. You must be enrolled in a project in order to exhibit at Achievement Days.
Up-coming events were discussed. Members are to be thinking of a summer community service project.
Demonstrations were given by Ashlee Hanson, “Sidewalk Chalk”; Michael Hoffman. “Peanut Butter Cookies”; Jenna Skinner, “From T-shirt to Scarf”; and Delaney Zoss, “How to Clean a
Saddle.”
Lunch was served by Meghan Chada and also hosted by April and Renee Farmer.
The group enjoyed making jewelry with the assistance of Karen and Greta Sonne.
