Woonsocket, May 18 – Local Dakotaland Federal Credit Union scholarship winners were given the opportunity to honor a teacher that has made a lasting impact on their lives. The Credit Union joined in the recognition of these very special teachers with a $200 donation to be used as the instructors see fit in their respective classrooms.
Jonathan Linke, a senior from Woonsocket, received a Dakotaland Federal Credit Union scholarship and in his application nominated English teacher Mr. Craig Lieber at Woonsocket High School.
“Mr. Lieber has challenged me and made me work hard toward higher quality work. He adds an element to the classroom that is hard to match and you can tell he is passionate about what he does. Mr. Lieber has truly brought positive change to our school and community”, stated Johnathan. Mr. Linke graduated this spring and will attend South Dakota State University in Brookings, majoring in agronomy and animal science.
Dakotaland is proud to support its area youth and to recognize teachers like Mr. Lieber, for the support and encouragement they have shared with their students. The Credit Union has locations in Huron, Volga, Brookings, Madison, Redfield, DeSmet, Mitchell and Woonsocket. Dakotaland continues to be locally owned and operated offering a full-line of financial services to its membership since 1935.
