The Artesian First Lutheran Church Women met at 7 p.m. on Monday, March 28, at the church.  Devotions titled “Accidental Angel” and the lesson titled “We Gather Together” were led by Jerolyn Dean.   The business meeting followed.
The bake sale, held on Saturday, March 26, in conjunction with the Easter egg hunt was successful. We appreciate everyone who patronized the sale and those who contributed baked goods.
Judy Wormstadt reported on the new Wednesday night children’s group WWTS, which has been very well attended.  The children sang at the Easter worship service.  At their next meeting, they will be watching a movie titled “The Last Supper, Crucifixion and Resurrection,” made possible by the new projector and screen that were purchased with Thrivent Action Funds and Penny Power money. WWTS will continue to meet until May 4 and will plan to sing again at the church service on Mother’s Day.
The quilting group met on March 2 and will meet again on Tuesday, April 5 at 6:30 p.m.  They will be working on baby quilts that will be donated to Plus One in Huron.
The Medary Conference Spring Gathering will be Saturday, April 16 at Bryant Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, starting at 9 a.m. The cost to attend the Spring Gathering is $12, which includes lunch.  There is a silent auction with proceeds going to the Joy Ranch Campership Fund.
The meeting concluded with the Lord’s Prayer, singing the table blessing and lunch served by Deanna Dean.
