​Logan Effling of Sanborn Central High School recently learned that he was awarded first prize in the senior high division of the Paul Witherington Prose Contest with his short story titled, “Crepes”.
The contest is sponsored by South Dakota State University. The prize includes $100, a chance to read his story at a reading at SDSU, and publication in the contest pamphlet. This is the third year that Effling has submitted his writing to the contest.
