Myah Selland is officially a Jackrabbit.
At a small ceremony Wednesday morning, before school started at Sanborn Central High School, Selland and some of her teammates, with whom she had just 12 hours earlier won a region volleyball game to gain a second-in-a-row trip to the state tournament, gathered in the gym to see her sign her official letter of intent to play basketball next fall for South Dakota State.
It was a whirlwind few hours for Selland, as she led her team in a 3-1 win over Arlington in the Region 3B Championship, with a 30-kill, 17-dig kind of night, then arrived to school the next morning to make her commitment to become one of the Jackrabbits’ 2017 freshman class.
