The Union Farmhands 4-H Club met in Artesian for clean-up day after the annual street dance on June 26 from 9 to 9:30 a.m.
President Dillon Moore opened the meeting with Katie Schmit leading the Pledge of Allegiance and Catherine Bechen leading the 4-H pledge.
The roll call of “What is your favorite activity to do this afternoon” was answered by: Amber Schelske, Dana Schelske, Alex Schelske, Katie Schmit, Austin Schmit, Sawyer Senska, Aubrey Senska, Catherine Bechen and Dillon Moore. Sarah Morgan was absent.
No treasurer’s report was given. Catherine Bechen gave the secretary’s report. Old business was discussing Christmas caroling and elections. A motion was made by Catherine Bechen to reimburse Cheryl Schmit for the Christmas pizza party, and Katie Schmit seconded it. A second motion was made motioned by Catherine Bechen and seconded by Amber Schelske to pay Pam Moore $17.46 for the money used to provide food and drinks for the last blood drive.
New business: The club discussed putting on games during the Melon Festival in Forestburg on Aug. 20 from 3 to 5 p.m. Due to prior obligations only half of the club will be able to make it. Austin Schmit motioned to have games, Sawyer Senska seconded it. Next, Catherine Bechen brought up the idea to get new 4-H club shirts. Katie Schmit and Sarah Morgan are to find designs. Katie Schmit motioned and Austin Schmit seconded it.
A motion was made to adjourn the meeting at 10 a.m. by Katie Schmit and seconded by Austin Schmit.
