The regular meeting of the Woonsocket City Council was called to order by Mayor Lindy Peterson at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 5, 2016, with the following members present: Richard Reider, Richard Regysnki, Joel Rassel, Brandon Goergen and John Ames. Jim Steichen was absent.
Motion by Rassel, seconded by Regynski, to approve the Agenda. Motion carried.
Motion by Goergen, seconded by Ames, to approve the Minutes of the September 5, 2016 meeting. Motion carried.
Motion by Rassel, seconded by Regynski, to approve the July Financials. Motion carried.
Motion by Goergen, seconded by Rassel, to approve the August Financials. Motion carried.
Motion by Ames, seconded by Goergen, to approve the September Financials. Motion carried.

A concerned citizen met with the council in regards to the siren. He requested the council members stand outside his residence when the whistle sounds. Council will consider options.
OLD BUSINESS
Council discussed the cemetery.
Council discussed abandoned cars in town.
Council discussed the bathrooms at the ball field.
Council discussed the 2017 Budget.
Council discussed the Iron Pile.
Council discussed the watertower. It was suggested to have the town’s established year on it.
NEW BUSINESS
Council discussed the recent layoffs at Van Dykes. Weber and Peterson will be involved in a conference call with the State.
Propane Bids were sent out for request.
Council discussed the County Bus. Due to lack of motion no action was taken.
Council discussed the roof on the storage building behind the shop.
Council discussed a request to remove a house in town by Don Schmidt. Goergen will be in contact with him.
Motion by Goergen, seconded by Regynski, to approve a temporary liquor license to Allen Tiede for the Community Center to hold the DU Banquet on October 17th. Motion carried.
Council discussed some paving that Clark Paving will doing in town.
With no further business to be discussed, motion by Ames, seconded by Reider, to adjourn the meeting. Meeting was adjourned at 8:15 p.m.
