The Town of Artesian Council met on February 1, 2017, in regular session at the Artesian Community Center.  Council Member K. Effling called the meeting to order with Council Member C. Danek, T. Fridley and Finance Officer G. Effling present.
The minutes of the January 4, 2017, meeting was read; motion to approve by Danek, motion carried.  Finance Officer Reports were read; motion to approve by Danek, motion carried.  The following vouchers were presented for the month.

Old Business:
Committee Reports: Streets – in good condition. Lagoon – discussion was held. Blow out was discussed. Lift station – discussion and maintenance. Discussion on areas within city limits that need cleaning up by land owners and burning of vacant structures. Discussion was held on the current list of volunteer firemen.
New Business: Planning and Development District III Road Map was completed. Discussion was held on the SDML Workers’ Compensation Fund Member Audit. Discussion was held on residents that were sent to collections. There was discussion on the ALM Grant through CorTrust Bank.
The next regular meeting will be held on March 1, 2017.
