Ellen (Andrews) Beyea, 55, of Woonsocket and formerly of Canandaigua, N.Y., passed away May 8, 2017, in Sioux Falls, after a short illness, with friends and family at her side.
Her memorial Mass will be celebrated Saturday, July 8, at 10 a.m. at St. Mary’s Church, 95 N. Main St., Canandaigua, NY. Interment will be in Sand Hill Cemetery, Canandaigua. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Teen Challenge of the Dakotas, 600 W. 16th Ave., Brookings, SD 57006, or the National Kidney Foundation, Inc., 30 E. 33rd St., New York, NY 10016, or Ontario Co. 4-H Program, 480 N. Main St., Canandaigua, NY 14424.
Ellen attended Canandaigua schools and was a 1980 graduate of Canandaigua Academy, where she exhibited the artistic and writing talents evidenced throughout her life. As a member of a 4-H club for several years, Ellen served as Ontario County Dairy Maid in 1977-78 and was “the best bulk tank cleaner her father ever had on the farm.” Ellen worked at the former Di Pacific’s Restaurant, in Farmington, as well as at several positions in Manchester and Newark. She moved to Woonsocket in 2013, where she was a faithful employee of Express 2, and was loved by coworkers, customers and friends.
Ellen will be remembered for her beautiful smile, friendly personality and strawberry blonde hair.
She is survived by three children, Courtney (Ryan) Patric, Jesse Beyea and Max King; two grandchildren; parents, William and Donna (Hanley) Andrews; five siblings, Thomas Andrews, Rebecca Boland, Todd (Michelle) Andrews, Julie (Jim) Amadon, formerly of Woonsocket, and David (Christine) Andrews; aunt, Roberta Aasness; uncle, Ronald (Patty) Hanley; many nieces, nephews and cousins; and devoted friend, Cliff Johnsen, Woonsocket.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Mindy Abraham, in 2006.
