Aaron Linke, son of Henry and Paula Linke of Woonsocket, is this year’s winner of the $1,000 L.J. Van Dyke Memorial Scholarship. Aaron is a 2017 graduate of Woonsocket High School.
Aaron is valedictorian of his class and has been very active in extracurricular activities in school and also in FFA and 4-H. He will be attending SDSU, majoring in both animal science and agronomy.
Linda Van Dyke Kilcoin, daughter of L.J. Van Dyke, established this scholarship as a memorial to honor her father. The scholarship is awarded to an individual who shows focus, determination and drive to succeed in whatever field he or she has chosen.
Linda encourages next year’s seniors to apply for this scholarship in the spring of 2018.
