The Woonsocket School Board held an informational meeting on Monday, Nov. 13, to inform the public about the proposed addition they plan to add to the current school structure. The plan consists of adding two classrooms, two Special Education rooms, a couple of offices, a teacher work room, and a conference room.

The Sanborn Central/Woonsocket fifth/sixth grade girls and boys basketball teams both earned third place at the Sanborn County Cancer Society’s basketball tournament held on Saturday, Nov. 11, at Sanborn Central in Forestbug.
The boys and girls teams from Ethan both took home the championships for the tournament.

The James River Water District District awarded $10,000 to the Sanborn Conservation District for purchasing a grass seeding drill to assist operators in the county with planting native grasses for CRP contracts, cover crops, food plots, wildlife habitat, and other conservation programs.
These plantings, along with future plantings, will improve the water quality by reducing soil erosion and nutrient runoff.
