MYAH SELLAND about to score in the 2016 Class B state basketball tournament.

Sanborn Central/Woonsocket stand out Myah Selland has made a name for herself on the basketball and volleyball courts. She propelled her volleyball team to back-to-back Class B State tournament appearances and led the girls’ basketball team to a 21-5 record and a third-place finish at the Class B State tournament last year.
The South Dakota State basketball recruit is a two-time Class B first team all-state selection and began her senior season with 1,700 career points, 751 rebounds and 411 assists. She averaged 23.8 points, 8.4 rebounds, 3.8 assists and 3.1 steals per game last year.
For this, the Letcher native was named the 2016 Prep Girls Athlete of the Year by the South Dakota Sportswriters Association.
