Beth Klingbile, 60, of Madison, died Tuesday, July 31, 2018, at the Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls.
A funeral service was held on Saturday, Aug. 4, at Weiland Funeral Chapel with Rev. Conrad Krahling officiating. Visitation was Friday at Weiland Funeral Chapel, and continued on Saturday one hour prior to the service. Burial was in Graceland Cemetery, Madison.
Elizabeth Irene Oakley was born Sept. 27, 1957, in Huron, to Leonard and Patricia (Anderson) Oakley. She graduated in 1975 from Letcher High School and continued her education for two more years at Dakota State College for medical coding. On Aug. 23, 1980, she married Gary Klingbile in Woonsocket, and to this union, two daughters were born. After graduating from college, Beth started working at the Brookings Hospital. Beth also worked briefly at the hospitals in Watertown and Marshall, Minn., before moving back to Madison in December 1984. At this time, Beth and Gary bought the bakery, which is commonly known today as Gary’s Bakery.
When Beth wasn’t working alongside Gary at the bakery, she loved to go fishing, boating, going for rides on the trike, going to her daughter’s softball games and spending time with her grandkids.
She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Gary of Madison; two daughters, Sarah (Travis) Olsem and Shannon (Randy) Neu, both of Sioux Falls; two grandchildren; and two aunts.
Beth was preceded in death by her parents and one infant brother, Darwin Oakley.
