YANKTON, MAY 14 – First National Bank has hired Neal Hegg as Director, Agriculture Lending, announced Jeff Jones, Market President. Hegg is responsible for providing customers with customized commercial and agribusiness lending solutions in the Woonsocket and Huron area.
“We’re excited to have Neal at First National Bank,” said Jones. “His expertise and experience in the agribusiness and insurance industries will be valuable in assisting our customers with their lending needs.”
Prior to joining First National Bank, Hegg worked for American Bank and Trust for over 10 years as Vice-President, Ag Lending, while also serving as a crop insurance agent. He worked for AmAg Crop Insurance as a regional marketing representative before that. Hegg has been a South Dakota licensed agent in property and casualty and crop insurance since 2001.
Hegg received an associate’s degree in agricultural business from Mitchell Technical Institute and participated in the USDA/AmeriCorps National Service student training program. He is a graduate of the South Dakota Bankers Association Beginning Ag Lenders School and Advanced Ag Lenders School and was also an Emerging Leaders Participant at the Independent Community Bankers Association.
An active community volunteer, Hegg currently serves as a board member for Huron Junior Athletics and Dakota Provisions Turkey Races. He previously served as Post-Secondary Agriculture Board president in Mitchell, Wolsey Lions Club member and South Dakota Farmers Union Legislative Fly-In Participant.
