ABERDEEN – The Grain Elevator and Processing Society (GEAPS), at its annual Expo in Denver, recognized 32 Agtegra Cooperative locations with GEAPS Safety Awards. GEAPS Safety Awards are given to facilities that did not have any lost time injuries or illnesses during 2017.
“Our commitment to safety of our employees and members is essential to who we are as a cooperative,” said Agtegra CEO Chris Pearson. “These awards recognize that everyone is doing their job safely, productively and efficiently every day.”
Agtegra Cooperative locations receiving GEAPS Safety Awards include: Woonsocket, Aberdeen, Alpena, Bath Agronomy, Berlin, Bristol, Carpenter, Chamberlain, Columbia, Eldridge, Oakes, Frederick, Highmore, Huron Agronomy, Huron Grain, Kennebec Agronomy, Kennebec Grain, Kimball, Langford, Mansfield, Mellette, Miller, Redfield Agronomy, Redfield Energy, Redfield Grain, Roscoe, St. Lawrence, Stickney, Tulare, Willow Lake, Wolsey Agronomy, and Wolsey Grain.
“These awards recognize the world-class safety performance that we strive for every day at every location throughout our trade territory,” said Agtegra Cooperative Vice President of Safety, Environmental and Regulatory Affairs Bill Spreeman. “We’re very proud of our safety accomplishments, because world-class safety performance means our employees are serious about maintaining a safe work environment at all times for themselves and their teams.”
