Spirit of Faith Lutheran Methodist Church members held worship services in their partially constructed building site on Sunday morning. The hymns played on the electric keyboard echoed off of the vaulted ceiling over the sanctuary producing an almost cathedral-like sound. Pastor Rhonda cautioned the kids about the steps up to the altar area as they came up for the “Children’s Sermon” – even though they do not yet exist!
Members were invited to write Bible verses on the studs or fiber board before they will be covered with dry-wall. Council chairman, Mark Snedeker, explained the layout of the rooms and their use.
Despite the absence of carpet on the floor or windows and siding on the building, the presence of the Holy Spirit filled the space as well as our hearts. What an incredible journey God has guided us on and continues to lead us through.
