The regular meeting of the Woonsocket City Council was called to order by Mayor Lindy Peterson at 7:00 p.m., Monday, February 5, 2018, with the following members present: Derek Foos, Jim Steichen, Darin Kilcoin, Joel Rassel, Richard Reider and Brandon Goergen.
Motion by Goergen, seconded by Foos, to approve the agenda. Motion carried.
Motion by Reider, seconded by Steichen, to approve the January 8, 2018, minutes. Motion carried.
Motion by Rassel, seconded by Kilcoin, to approve the financial statement. Motion carried.

Motion by Rassel, seconded by Kilcoin, to approve the Ordinance 93-18. Fixing the Salary of the Finance Officer.
ORDINANCE NO 93-18
(AS AMENDED)
AN ORDINANCE FIXING THE SALARY OF THE FINANCE OFFICER.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WOONSOCKET, SOUTH DAKOTA
SECTION 1. That the wage of the Finance Officer shall be fixed, and he or she shall receive the sum of Thirty-Two Thousand Four Hundred Forty-Eight dollars ($32,448.00) per Annum.
SECTION 2. That the Finance Officer shall receive the sum of Forty Dollars ($40.00) per special meeting of the City Council.
SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall take effect and be retroactive effective as of January 1, 2018, after its second passage and publication as provided by law.

NEW BUSINESS
Council discussed buckets for the lift station. Motion by Goergen, seconded by Foos, to approve the purchase of the lift station buckets from Dakota Pump for $3587.26. Motion carried.
Council discussed the pool.
Council discussed playground equipment at the baseball/softball field.
A request was discussed to make a proclamation to name a day. Motion by Rassel, seconded by Steichen, to approve a Proclamation naming February 18, 2018, Patrick Miller Cahill Day. Motion carried.
Council discussed a yield sign at the end of 1st Ave South. No action was taken at this time.
Council discussed the McKenzie Sports Inc. building.
Council discussed the dumpground. We would like to thank Eric Hill for his time and commitment for the Dumpgrounds.
