The regular meeting of the Woonsocket City Council was called to order by Mayor Lindy Peterson at 7:00 p.m., Monday, April 2, 2018, with the following members present: Jim Steichen, Joel Rassel, Brandon Goergen and Richard Reider. Darin Kilcoin and Derek Foos were absent.
Motion by Goergen, seconded by Reider, to approve the Agenda. Motion carried.
Motion by Reider, seconded by Rassel, to approve the March 5, 2018, minutes. Motion carried.
Motion by Rassel, seconded by Steichen to approve the March 19, 2018, minutes. Motion carried.
Motion by Goergen, seconded by Steichen, to approve the Financial Statement. Motion carried.

OLD BUSINESS
Council discussed the Mason Building.
Council discussed the pool.
Council discussed the McKenzie Building.
Council discussed the dumpgrounds. Motion by Steichen, seconded by Goergen to hire Doug Hansen at $10.00. Motion carried. Free dump will run the month of May with the 17th scheduled for the community clean up; rain date is May 24th.
Council discussed the Spirit of Faith Church statue.
Council discussed NorthWestern Energy project to replace poles in town.
NEW BUSINESS
A Plaque was presented to the Council from the South Dakota Municipal League for being a member for 15 years.
Council discussed streets. No streets will be paved this year.
Council discussed crush concrete at the dump. Motion by Rassel, seconded by Goergen to crush 3,000 ton. Motion carried.
The following items were also up for discussion: cemetery, cars, shop work list and jake brake (signs have been installed).
With no further business to be discussed, motion by Steichen, seconded by Goergen to adjourn the meeting. Meeting was adjourned at 8:07 p.m.
