For their annual Walk and Bike to School Day, a few South Dakota Department of Transportation employees from the Sanborn County location opened doors for kids as they entered the elementary school in Woonsocket, and they handed out safety lights the kids can attach to their bikes for safer riding. Walk and Bike to School Day is an annual event that is recognized nationally in October every year.
