According to the Sanborn County Sheriff’s Office, it was reported to their office approximately three weeks ago that a man was allegedly sending inappropriate texts and snapchat messages to a local female minor. Once the Sheriff’s Office did their investigation and found that there were actually two girls receiving messages from the same man, they turned the investigation over to the South Dakota Department of Criminal Investigation (DCI). The DCI conducted their own investigation which led them to Wayne Halvorsen, 32, of Woonsocket.
