On Thursday, March 12, the band students in grades six and seven from both Woonsocket and Sanborn Central Schools performed at a contest held in each school. The students who received a superior rating for their solo performances from Woonsocket were: Reese Stephens – clarinet, Emilie Lindgren – flute, Eli Fry – snare drum, Sebastian Kotilinek – snare drum, Trinity Kotilinek – flute, Brendan Evans – clarinet, Oscar Anderson – trumpet, Dawson Baye-Larson – trumpet, Elizabeth Boschee – trombone, McKenzie Baruth – snare drum, Sage Treib – clarinet, Kyla Terkildsen – trumpet and Samantha Grosz – trumpet. Woonsocket students receiving an excellent rating were: Morgan Eggleston – clarinet, Sutton Senska – trumpet, Tyson Eddy – alto saxophone, Camden Rassel – trombone, London Metzger – clarinet and Sawyer Treib – trumpet.
The students in sixth and seventh grades from Sanborn Central who earned a superior rating for their solo performances were: Caleb Kneen – bass clarinet, Payton Uecker – alto saxophone, Alex Schelske – tuba, Morgan Hoffman – trumpet, Bryce Larson – snare drum, Evan Easton – snare drum, Clay Moody – alto saxophone, Parker Ettswold – trombone, Teagen Moody – snare drum, Tori Hoffman – trumpet and Cameron Edwards – trumpet. Sanborn Central students who earned an excellent rating were: Aubrey Kropp – trumpet, Chayda Johnson – clarinet, Grant Edwards – trombone and Sydney Edwards – baritone.
