Rolan Rans, 86, of Ogden, Utah, passed away on Feb. 18, 2022, at George Wahlen Veterans Home.

A committal service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on June 10 at the Black Hills National Cemetery.

Rolan was born Jan. 27, 1936, in Woonsocket. He married Betty (Pownall) in November of 1956 in England. Rolan retired from the U.S. Air Force after 25 years as an aircraft mechanic and missile mechanic.

He loved teaching his daughters how to work on cars, especially Fords. Rolan enjoyed fishing and hunting, especially pheasant hunting in South Dakota.

Rolan is survived by his wife, Betty; daughters, Karen (Peggy) Rans of Arizona, Janet (Jeff) Tschetter of Huron, Christine Rans of Utah and Leigh (John) Martin of Utah; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brother, Ike (Irene) Rans of Huron; and sister-in-law, Madge of England.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Evelena; brother, Erwin Rans; and sister, Shirley Zell.
