On Monday, Dec. 13, the junior high teams traveled to Howard for their first games of the season. They played two games. The first game ended in a loss for the young Blackhawks with a final score of 10-29.
The second game against the Tigers ended more positively for the Blackhawks with a final score of 25-16 and their first win of the season.
The junior high boys’ next games were Friday, Dec. 17 in Wessington Springs. They won their first game with a final score of 24-17.
The second boys’ game was their second loss of the season with a final score of 13-27.
On Saturday, Dec. 18, the junior high boys were in Mt. Vernon for three games against the MVP Titans. The first game ended in a Blackhawk defeat with a final score of 15-27, Titans.
Their second game that morning ended with a win for the Blackhawks and a final score of 20-16.
The final game of the day was the boys’ C-game, which also ended in a Blackhawk victory with a final score of 28-19.
The boys’ next competition was on Saturday, Jan. 8 in a tournament at James Valley. They then played Kimball/White Lake in Woonsocket on Monday, Jan. 10. Their next games are tonight (Thursday) in Mt. Vernon.
