The regular meeting of the Woonsocket City Council was called to order by Mayor Richard Reider at 7:00 p.m., Monday, April 11, 2022, with the following members present: Arin Boschee, Derek Foos, Elliott Ohlrogge, Joel Rassel and Darin Kilcoin. John Baysinger was absent. Finance officer Tara Weber was also present.

Motion by Foos, seconded by Ohlrogge, to approve the agenda. Motion carried.

Motion by Rassel, seconded by Boschee, to approve the March 14, 2022, minutes. Motion carried.

Motion by Foos, seconded by Boschee to approve the March 21, 2022, minutes. Motion carried.

Motion by Kilcoin, seconded by Boschee, to approve the Financial Statement. Motion carried.

OLD BUSINESS

The council discussed the cabin at the campground. Motion by Rassel, seconded by Kilcoin, to set the rental prices for the 2022 summer at the following prices; motion carried:

Cabin – Nightly Rental – $40.00

Camping Spot (Lake Prior) – Nightly Rental – $15.00

Camping Spot (Lake Prior – Monthly Rental – $400.00

Camping Spot (Tennis Court) – Nightly Rental – $15.00

Camping Spot (Tennis Court) – Monthly Rental – $350.00

The council discussed the streets and the upcoming chip and seal project.

The council discussed the old maintainer. It has been registered with Purple Wave. It is set to sell at 10:00 a.m. on April 26th. 

Council discussed the Code Enforcement.

NEW BUSINESS

Council discussed spring cleanup. Free dump will be the month of May.

Council discussed summer help. Motion by Kilcoin, seconded by Boschee, to set the following wages for summer help. Motion carried. Starting wage will be $10.00 per hour due to minimum wage increasing to $9.95. Current summer help will get $1.00 raise.

Council discussed the 2021 Water Quality Report. It is available in the Finance Office.

Council discussed the summer dumpground hours: Tuesday (3:00-6:00 p.m.), Thursday (3:00-6:00 p.m.), and Saturday (10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.).

Other discussion items included:

• Election to be held April 12th at the community center;

• Additional pumps;

• Camera System for the pool/jam ball court area;

• New addition.

With no further business to be discussed, motion by Foos, seconded by Boschee, to adjourn the meeting. The meeting was adjourned at 8:30 p.m.
