Woonsocket third and fourth grade celebrate learning

Submitted by Bailey Deinert

On Wednesday afternoon, Jessica Bruce and Bailey Deinert had a pizza fraction party for the third and fourth grade classes, as they wanted to celebrate completing state testing, and they were both teaching fractions prior to state testing, so it was a great way to celebrate both! Mrs. Bruce and Mrs. Deinert would say “Cover 3/6 of your pizza in mozzarella cheese,” “What is 3/6 equal to,” “What are other fractions equal to 1/2,” etc. Then, they enjoyed the pizzas in the commons.

On Thursday morning, the classes celebrated “Easter” weekend, with a scavenger hunt. While Mrs. Carie Fry read an Easter Egg story, Mrs. Alecia Schley, Mrs. Bruce, and Mrs. Deinert hid eggs throughout the two classes. In each egg was a reading or math review question or candy. One fourth grader was then paired with a third grader, and they would have to answer four questions correct before they could go get an egg with candy in it. Overall, it was a very fun week!
