Patrick Gene Hoffman, 60, of Huron, died Thursday, Dec. 5, 2024, at Ava Hospice House in Sioux Falls. 

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 13, at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, with burial at St. Scholastic Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 12, at Holy Spirit Catholic Church.  Arrangements are under the direction of the Will Funeral Chapel.

Patrick Gene Hoffman, son of Joseph and Patricia (Vermeulen) Hoffman, was born Sept. 12, 1964, in Mitchell. He grew up on the family farm near Letcher. Pat graduated from Letcher High School. He later attended culinary school at Mitchell VoTech. Pat made his home in Huron, where he was employed at the Donut Shop. He continued working at the Donut Shop and also worked as a bartender at Lazer’s Bar. Pat farmed for a short time and also did odd jobs in the area.

He truly enjoyed participating in pool leagues and bowling leagues.

Patrick is survived by his mother, Patricia Hoffman of Mitchell; six siblings, Michael (Bonnie) Hoffman of Parkston, John (Debra) Hoffman of Alliance, Neb., Robert (Linda) Hoffman of Mt. Vernon, Tony Hoffman of Alvin, Texas, Tammy (Darrell) Wallace of Santa Fe, Texas, and Tim (Stacey) Hoffman of Letcher; and nieces, nephews and special friends.

He was preceded in death by his father.
