An elementary STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, and math) Enrichment Day was held at Sanborn Central on June 12. Students in grades PreK-5 were invited to explore hands-on activities facilitated by the Sanborn Central Elementary staff. Approximately, 40 students participated in activities from 9-11 a.m. Activities included finger prints, air flow, building of a bridge, sink or swim, egg drop, and a book reading. Dr. Debbie O’Doan from Dial visited and demonstrated Indi cars. After the demonstration, the students were able to manipulate the cars themselves. The students were treated to snow cones at the end of the enrichment day. A Literacy Enrichment Day is scheduled for July 10 from 9-11 a.m. If your child would like to participate, please DoJo your child’s teacher prior to July 1.
