Four volleyball and five football players were named to the 281 All-Conference Teams for their excellent performances during the fall sports seasons.
Marissa Weber, Woonsocket junior, was named to the first team. Sanborn Central senior Candace Page-Marten was given second team honors, while Rachelle Moore, SC senior, made the third team. Shelby Selland of Sanborn Central earned an honorable mention.
Todd Stekl, Sanborn Central senior, and Jacob Fouberg, Woonsocket freshman, received honorable mentions. Trevor Easton, senior, Blake Messmer, junior, and Austin Messmer, sophomore, all at Wessington Springs were named to the 281 All-Conference Football Team.
The Blackhawks ended their season 2-2 in the 281 Conference.
The same five players were also named to the Mid-Dakota All-Conference Team for football.
Six Blackhawks volleyball players made the Custer Battlefield Highway All-Conference teams.
Earning first team honors were Weber and Page-Marten. Moore was placed on the second team, along with Rachel Selland, Woonsocket junior. Honorable
mentions went to Shelby Selland, junior – Sanborn Central, and Morgan Larson, senior – Woonsocket.
The Lady Blackhawks ended their season 6-0 in the CBH Conference.
